Sleepy Pink and Brown

This baby quilt was created from scraps and sewn together in a couple hours. The basic blocks are 11” high pieces and were created by combining whatever fabric I had. It’s a modified crazy quilt with a little bit of purpose.

The small strips are not sewn into the squares on each side. They are strips folded in half lengthwise and sewn on to one edge of the block, then folded over and ironed in place. I pinned them down when needed and they stayed in place once it was machine quilted.

The machine quilting is just a wandering loop-dee-loop pattern using brown thread. The back is a solid piece of brown with pink roses.
